Pauline N. Westerhold, 91, of Pender, NE, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the Pender Community Hospital. A memorial visitation will be on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church west of Pender. The memorial service will be on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Inurnment will be in the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender.
Pauline was born in Falls City, NE on October 7, 1934, the daughter of Rev. Victor and Ida (Reuter) Moeller. She graduated from Pender High School in 1952, then attended Wayne State College, earning a teaching certificate. Pauline was united in marriage to Marvin F. Westerhold at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church on June 17, 1956. To this union two sons were born, David and Daniel. She taught school for a short time. For many years she worked as a bookkeeper at Puckett Studio, Hesse Produce/Pender Grain, and sold Watkins. She played the organ at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church for over 75 years. She was an avid bowler, a member of the Jr. Women’s Club, VFW Auxiliary, WELCA, and Pender Hospital Auxiliary.
Pauline is survived by her sons, Dave (Margaret) Westerhold of Pender, NE and Dan (Tami) Westerhold of Lyons, NE; three grandchildren, Nicole (Bryan) Adams, Jeremy Westerhold, and Brian (Kristin) Steffel; three great-grandchildren, Samual Adams, Ledger Dutton, Maxim Steffel. She is also survived by her brother Norman Moeller of Pender, NE.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; husband, Marvin, in 2004; sisters, Berniece (Walt) Whipple and Thelma Moeller; brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Paul (Shirley) Moeller; sister-in-law, Joan Moeller; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Howard (Mary) Graber; great-niece, Lillian Davis.
