Pamela J. Meierdierks, 72, of Pender, NE passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. A well-lived life deserves to be celebrated. We extend an invitation to family and friends to join us for a Celebration of Pam’s life. We will be gathering to share some of our favorite memories, stories, to laugh, to cry, and to remember the wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed. The celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church at 805 S. Thurston Ave. in Pender, NE. Lunch will be provided at 11:30 a.m. followed by a short celebration service. Please come and share your memories to Celebrate Pam, honor God, and comfort one another. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Little White Dog Rescue in LaVista, Nebraska. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Pender.
Pam was born on May 27, 1952, in Bancroft, NE, the daughter of Harold and Jean (Northrop) Tietz. She graduated from Bancroft High School in 1970. On May 9, 1971, Pam was united in marriage to David Meierdierks in Bancroft. To this union two daughters were born, Melissa and Jaime. She worked most of her adult life with the State of Nebraska Health and Human Services, helping people at need.
Pam loved animals and adopted more than ten rescue dogs over the last twenty years. She also enjoyed fishing, Southern Gospel Quartets, gardening, canning, all things Nebraska Cornhuskers, and experimenting with and creating new recipes.
Pam is survived by her husband, David Meierdierks of Pender, NE; daughters, Melissa Meierdierks of Phoenix, AZ, Jaime (Shawn) Cook of Ovilla, TX; grandsons, Will and Wes Fragale; sister, Lori Cannon of Wisner, NE; and a brother, Randy (Karen) Tietz of Pender, NE.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Jean Tietz, and a brother, Rick Tietz.
