Marilyn Pearl (Lindgren) Fuchser, 96, of Pender, NE, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Fallbrook Assisted Living in Lincoln, NE. The visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender, NE. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Trinity Lutheran Chruch in Walthill, NE. The burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson, NE. Memorials are suggested to Orphan Grain Train (PO Box 1466, Norfolk, NE 68702-1466). Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender, NE.
Marilyn was born April 20, 1929, to Sephus and Hanna Lindgren on a farm east of Lyons, NE. She was the eighth of nine children. Hannah passed when Marilyn was two years old, leaving her to be raised by her sisters. Marilyn attended Viles rural school and Oakland school. She moved east of Walthill with her father and 2 brothers in 1944. She graduated from Walthill in 1946. Marilyn attended Luther College in Wahoo, NE for 2 years. She met Dale at church and through her brother, Paul, began dating Dale. They were married October 15, 1950. To this union were born Carla Carol, David Dale, Kristin Kay and John Joseph. Dale and Marilyn farmed between Walthill and Pender until Dale retired. They moved into Pender in 2010. Dale passed away in 2020. They were married for nearly 70 years.
Marilyn lived at Prairie Breeze Assisted Living in Pender for 3 years and then 2 years in Lincoln at Fallbrook Assisted Living.
Marilyn loved to garden and raise flowers. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards and games with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marilyn was a generous hostess and her door was always open to relatives and friends. Marilyn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Walthill. Her children remember her baking donuts, buns, rye bread and eskimo pie for the church bake sales, as well as taking cream, chickens and eggs to sell.
Marilyn leaves to mourn her children: Carla (Peter) Magarey, David (Margaret), Kristin (HJ) Brunk, John (Marna), 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, and a brother-in-law, Wilbur Fuchser.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, eight siblings and their spouses, and three infant grandchildren.
