Marcella “Marcee” Maree Muller, 85 of Wakefield, NE, passed away on July 31, 2025, at Wakefield Health Care Center in Wakefield. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield, NE. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Salem Lutheran Church in Wakefield, NE. Interment will follow at the Wakefield Cemetery in Wakefield, NE. The family has requested that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield, NE.

Marcee was born on November 14, 1939, in Wakefield, NE to Emil and Alice (Baker) Muller. She was the oldest of four children. Marcee grew up on a farm outside Wakefield, NE, graduated from Wakefield High School (’57) and went on to earn a teaching degree from Gustavus Adolphus College (‘61). Her career started in Ceylon, MN, where she spent three years teaching middle school math before moving to Tecumseh, NE, where she taught math until her retirement in 2001. In addition to her teaching, Marcee coached volleyball, track, and Tecumseh softball. Following her coaching career, Marcee remained involved with Tecumseh athletics as a statistician for the high school volleyball and basketball teams.

Family was everything to Marcee, from nieces and nephew, great-nieces and great-nephews, many cousins (including an NFL kicker), and friends that were like family. She was passionate about visiting and maintaining contact with everyone. Marcee also enjoyed many activities, and her love of Nebraska sports is well known. She started attending Nebraska football games when the north stadium was built in 1966 and stayed an active member for many years. Marcee began bowling while living in Ceylon, MN. Bowling provided Marcee much joy throughout her life, traveling to many state and national tournaments, holding office as President of Nebraska United States Bowling Congress Association, where she was inducted into the Nebraska Women's Bowling Hall of Fame for Meritorious Service recognition in 2004. Marcee was an active member of Tecumseh Methodist Church, bridge club, book club, and loved to travel.

Marcee is survived by her sisters, Maxine Muller, Phyllis Rhodes; aunt, Billie Muller; nieces, Michelle (Tim) Murray, Simone Thompson, Melissa Whiddon; nephew, Dalton (Michelle) Rhodes; great-nieces, great-nephews; and many cousins.

Marcee is preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Alice Muller; sister, June Muller; grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
