Ma San Juana Godin Martinez, 58, of Wakefield, NE, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield. A Rosary Service will follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emerson. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery in Wakefield, NE. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield.

Juana was born on February 22, 1967, in Canada del Rodeo, Aguascalientes, Mexico, the daughter of Casiano Godin and Marta Martinez. She moved to California, and later moved to Wakefield, NE, where she worked for a time at Michaels Foods in Wakefield, before her declining health forced her to quit. Juana was united in marriage to Raul Chavez Delgado. Together, they raised three children: Raul, Carlos, and Brenda. She loved being with her family.

Juana is survived by her husband Raul Chavez of Wakefield; sons, Raul (Andrea) Chavez, and their children, Raul and Viviana, Carlos (Jessica) Chavez, and their son, Josiah; daughter, Brenda (Mario) Valenzuela, and their children, Joseph, Dominick, Ethen, Mateo, and Mae. She is also survived by five sisters, Santos, Chuy, Alicia, Sarah, and Aurelia; four brothers, Juan, Alejandro, Martin, and Fernando.

Juana was preceded in death by her parents, Casiano and Marta, and a brother, Javier Godin.

Se reubicó en California, y mas tarde se reubicó en Wakefield,NE, donde trabajó por un tiempo en Michael Foods, en Wakefield,NE, antes de que el deterioro en salud la obligara a renunciar. Juana se unió en matrimonio Raúl Chávez Delgado. Juntos crearon tres hijos: Raúl, Carlos, y Brenda. Ella amaba estar con su familia.

Juana es sobrevivida por su esposo Raúl Chávez de Wakefield; hijos, Raúl (Andrea) Chávez, y sus hijos, Raúl y Viviana, Carlos (Jessica) Chávez, y su hijo, Josiah; su hija Brenda (Mario) Valenzuela, y sus hijos, Joseph, Dominick, Ethan, Mateo, y Mae.
