LeRoy "Bob" Robert Stafford

LeRoy "Bob" Stafford, 90, of Denver, Colorado, formerly of Pender, Nebraska, died on Monday, February 20, 2023, in Denver. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home in Pender. A graveside memorial service will be held in the Rosehill Cemetery of Pender at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023. LeRoy Robert “Bob” Stafford was born on July 28, 1932, to Harry and Lillian Stafford of Bancroft Nebraska. Two sisters, Frances and Donna were also born into the marriage. Bob attended Pender Public Schools and graduated in 1951. Bob and Mary Ellen Stafford were married on December 2, 1956, in George Iowa. They met and continued to live in Omaha, Nebraska until they moved to Pender in 1973 where he assumed a full-time manager and owner of the NAPA Autoparts Store. He was a member of the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Pender, Nebraska. Mary Ellen passed away on April 7, 1998 and shortly thereafter he meet Marlene Albrecht. They enjoyed traveling and getting to know each other’s family and friends while spending time in Golden, Colorado, and Gold Canyon, Arizona. Bob passed away at the Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, and is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Frances and her husband Rock Shadbolt and Donna and her husband Hyle Hensel. He is survived by his son, Robert and wife Kimberley Stafford of Omaha and many nieces, nephews, and beloved Marlene Albrecht and her loving family.
