Laura was born on February 15, 1959, in Key West, Florida to Gilbert and Claudia Sharp. Laura grew up in San Diego, finally moving to Wakefield, Nebraska, in 1974. Laura was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1977. Laura attended and graduated from Wayne State College in 1981 with a degree in Accounting. Laura relocated to Omaha before moving to Connecticut, where she worked for the U.S. Navy as a civilian. It is here that she met Frank Rosinski. They were united in marriage on May 25, 1986, in Mystic, Connecticut. Shortly after, in 1986, Frank and Laura relocated to Grapeview, Washington, where they both continued their careers with the U.S. Navy.

Laura was an avid dog lover. From a small chihuahua named Tiko, to eventually moving on to raise and show rottweilers. Laura was active in showing her dogs at the Westminster Kennel Club. She even went on to have two Grand Champions. Her pride and joy was a tailed rottweiler named Aponi, whom she had traveled to Germany to adopt. She also judged at regional dog shows in her free time. Over the course of her life, Laura went on to raise more than 20 rottweilers and traveled to more than 40 states to show her dogs.

Aside from her dogs, Laura also enjoyed quilting and diamond art. She liked to watch old westerns and was a huge fan of "Gunsmoke." She was also a huge supporter of the University of Nebraska women’s volleyball team — go Lady Huskers!

Laura and Frank moved to Coleridge, Nebraska, after her retirement in 2021 to be near friends and family.

Laura is survived by her brother, Dean (Kathi) Sharp; niece, Megan (Jon Paul) Schmidt, great-niece, Malia, and great-nephew, Kai, of McKinney, Texas; nephew, Matthew (Elly) Sharp, of Omaha, Nebraska; niece, Madison Sharp, of North Liberty, Iowa; and, cousin, JayLynn Guptill, of Kansas City, Missouri.
