Larry Lown

Larry K. Lown, 77, of rural Pender, NE, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his buddy, Ed Driscoll, and his three Musketeers (Linda, Liz, Janet). The visitation for Larry will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Pender, NE. The funeral will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Pender, NE. Burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery in Pender, NE. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender, NE.

Larry was born on November 20, 1948, in Sigourney Hospital, but resided in Webster, IA. He lived with his parents, Arville and Dorothy (Stephenson) Lown, and siblings Carol and John Lown. He was united in marriage to Linda Driscoll on November 20, 1999, in Oakland Heights Nursing Home in Oakland, NE. Larry worked for Oakland Heights and considered the residents as family. Larry became an immediate father to Michael (Aubrie) Driscoll, of Omaha, NE, Melissa (Rob) Schichtel of Cortez, CO, and Amber Lown and finance Nick Woodward, of Yutan, NE.

Larry graduated from high school in Webster, IA. Larry had a love for Eagles and learned to love football. He cheered for the Nebraska Huskers and Iowa Hawkeyes. He enjoyed scrapping metal, watching westerns, and spending time with his buddy Sawyer.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Linda Lown of Pender, NE; children, Michael (Aubrie) Driscoll, of Omaha, NE, Melissa (Rob) Schichtel of Cortez, CO, and Amber Lown and fiancé Nick Woodward of Yutan, NE; Sister, Carol (Charlie) Trier, of South English, IA; sister-in-law Brenda (John) Lown, of Iowa; Father-in-law, Edward Driscoll of Pender, NE; brother in-laws and sister-in-laws Liz (Jerry) Sand, of Plattsmouth, NE, Carl Driscoll, of Yuma, AZ, Clifford (Roberta) Driscoll, of Bellevue, NE, Mary (Chuck) Balzer, of Oelwein, IA, Judy Wally, of Overland, KS, Janet Driscoll of Pender, NE; three grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Arville and Dorothy Lown; brother, John Lown; and his mother-in-law, Katherine Driscoll.
