Janice M. Lamb

Janice M. Lamb, 79, of Wakefield, NE, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the Wakefield Health Care Center in Wakefield, NE. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Wakefield; Pastor Jill Craig will be officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Pender, NE at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield, NE. 

Janice was born on November 27, 1944, to Elmer and Dora (Suhr) Spangler in Pender, NE. She attended and graduated from Pender High School. On May 7, 1961, Janice married Melvin Lamb. She worked at the School, Hospital, and Wakefield Health Care Center in Wakefield. Janice liked listening to country music, quilting, and reading. She also enjoyed going camping and fishing with her family. 

Janice is survived by her sons, Brian Lamb of Wakefield, NE, and Robert Lamb of Wakefield, NE; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. 

Janice is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin Lamb; daughter, Tracie Crawford; son, Larry Lamb; grandson, Joshua Lamb; brothers, Keith, Kenneth, David and Arlon Spangler.
