Holly A. Kinning

Holly A. (Kurth) Kinning, 49, of Pender, NE, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Pender Community Hospital. The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Pender. A Prayer Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. and Bingo at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Pender Community Center in Pender. The burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Pender. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designations. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender.

Holly was born on December 29, 1975, to Thomas and Mary “Kaye” (Hames) Kurth in Le Mars, IA. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars. She graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 1994. She continued her education by earning two Associates Degrees at Western Iowa Tech - Child Development, Supervision, and Care, and also Information Technology. On April 28, 2007, Holly married Ryan Kinning at St. Joseph Catholic Church. They made Pender, NE their home and had two children, Max and Corinne.

Holly was a lifelong Catholic. She was active with the Pender Betterment Group and the Pender PTO. Holly was a very caring person who was known to shower friends and family with gifts. She loved to plan parties and enjoyed a competitive game of bingo whenever she could. Holly loved her children dearly and attended as many of their activities as possible. 

Holly is survived by her husband, Ryan Kinning; son, Max Kinning; daughter, Corinne Kinning; sisters, Jill (Ron) McKay, Krista (Dan) Plueger; brother, Gary (Meredith) Kurth; mother-in-law, Charlene Kinning; in-laws, Rod (Coleen) Kinning, Sheila (Jim) Pape, Kathy (Ron) Baker, Joe Kinning, Mark (Shauna) Kinning; aunt and uncle, Jacki & Jim George; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Holly is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Kurth; mother, Mary “Kaye” Kurth; father-in-law, Arlis “Bud” Kinning, Jr.; and grandparents.
