Helen Moyle

Helen “Granny” Moyle-Purcell, 66, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, at Pender Community Hospital.

Helen was born on December 27, 1959, in South Dakota to Harold Strong and Wauneta Hogan. Throughout her life, Helen lived in many places, spending much of her time in Sioux City before recently making her home in Pender, where she cherished being close to her granddaughter and great-grandchildren.

Known as “Granny” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Helen treasured the time she spent with them. She also treasured the friendships and care provided by the wonderful in-home caregivers who were part of her daily life.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Bridget (Jeff) Jump of Pender, Nebraska; sons Anthony Moyle of Sioux City, Iowa, Christopher Moyle of Sioux City, Iowa, and Chad Moyle of Sioux City, Iowa; grandchildren Jayna Jump, Jaydon (Lauren) Jump, Allison Moyle, Emily Moyle, and Natalie Moyle; and great-grandchildren Kyndal Triplett, Kyndra Triplett, KamRon Triplett, and KaeRon Triplett. She is also survived by many brothers, a sister, extended family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Richard-Donald Purcell; her sister, Marlene Knapp; and her mother, Wauneta Hogan.

Funeral arrangements are pending per the family at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
