Gaylin Lee Denker, 74, of Savage, MN, died on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at his home in Savage. The visitation will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Emerson. The funeral service will be on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Emerson. Burial will be at a later date in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson. Munderloh - Smith Funeral Home is assisting with the services.
Gaylin was born on June 18, 1950, in Wakefield, NE, the son of Harry and Emma (Biede) Denker. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson. Following his graduation from Emerson-Hubbard High School in 1968, Gaylin went on to earn a Bachelor of Science from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln in 1972. On March 23, 1991, he was united in marriage to Sandra (Bunich) Denker in Emerson, NE. He worked for New Holland Equipment for over 42 years starting in sales and completing his career as a regional service manager.
Gaylin is survived by his wife Sandra of Savage, MN; sons, Jerl Lee Denker of Deepwater, MO, Phillip Michael Denker (wife Nicole Denker) of Onalaska, WI, Brant Charles Bunich of Rosemont, MN; daughter, Kelly Christine Nixon (husband Vance Nixon) of Castle Rock, CO; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Marlene Winbolt.
