Fred W. Bassett, 72, of Bancroft, NE, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at his home in Bancroft.  The visitation will be on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft.  The funeral will be on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bancroft, with Reverend Robert Schilling officiating.  The burial will be in the Bancroft Cemetery in Bancroft.  Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church (PO Box 306, Bancroft, NE 68004). Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft.
