Edward G. Matney

Edward Guy Matney, 71, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025, surrounded by his family at his home.  Memorial services are currently pending with Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender, NE.  

Edward was born on January 19, 1954, in Sioux City, IA, to Jack and Betty (Kampfe) Matney.  He was an avid Green Bay Packers football and Nebraska Cornhuskers football fan.  He enjoyed the outdoors and went fishing as often as he was able.  

Edward is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Matney of South Sioux City, NE; son, Guy Matney of South Sioux City, NE; and his sister, Sheila Matney of South Sioux City, NE.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Betty Matney.
