Donna Farber

Donna Farber, 85, of Sioux City, IA, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, after a long battle with chronic lung disease.  A visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender, NE.  A graveside service will follow at Rosehill Cemetery starting at 12:15 p.m. with Pastor Karen McNeill-Utecht officiating.  Following the graveside, the family invites everyone to the Pender Fire Hall for lunch and to share memories.  Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender. 

Donna was born on January 16, 1938, in Winslow, NE to LaVern and Pauline (Holiday) Peters. Donna married Frank Breitkreutz on June 5^, 1955.  They lived in Pender, NE most of their lives.  To this union, four children were born: Debbra, Dale, Darla, and Duane.  On September 11, 1985, Frank passed away. On August 20^, 1993, Donna married Howard Farber of Onawa, IA.  They enjoyed dancing, gardening, and their fur babies.  Howard passed away on November 21, 2016.

Donna enjoyed cooking, camping, dancing (polka), computer games, Facebook, crossword puzzles, playing cards, sewing, country music and Nebraska Cornhuskers football.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Debbra Breitkreutz of Omaha, NE, Darla (MacArthur) Rapp of Sioux City, IA; son, Dale (Karen) Breitkreutz of Butler, KY; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Frank Breitkreutz, and Howard Farber; son, Duane (Dewe) Breitkreutz.
