Daisy L. Pointer

Daisy L. (Rager) Pointer, 94, of Emerson, NE died on Sunday, October 6, 2024, surrounded by her family at Heritage of Emerson in Emerson, NE. The visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home. 

Daisy was born on January 6, 1930, in Thurston County, NE at home to Thomas and Emma M. (Bourelle) Rager. She was the youngest of nine children. She attended school in Winnebago, NE. On October 3, 1951, Daisy married Henry “Hank” Pointer, and they were married for 42 years before Hank passed away in 1993. She worked at a phone company in Lyons, NE, M.G. Waldbaum in Wakefield, NE and IBP in South Sioux City, NE. 

Daisy was a member of the Thurston American Legion Auxiliary and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time at the river, gardening and playing cards with her friends. Daisy loved spending holidays with her extended family. 

Daisy is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Daisy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Pointer; 3 brothers; and 5 sisters.
