Andrew Scott McCauley, 42, of Sioux City, IA, passed away at his residence on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The visitation will be October 1, 2026, through October 3, 2026, at the Veteran's Lodge in Macy, NE. The funeral service will be on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Veteran's Lodge in Macy, NE, with Mr. Rodney Morris in charge of the family services. The burial with military honors will follow in the Omaha Nation Cemetery in Macy, NE. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender, NE.
Andrew, lovingly known as Andy, leaves behind a lifetime of memories shared with his children, family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
In 2005, Andy married Mandy McCauley, beginning a chapter of his life filled with family, love, and memories that would last a lifetime. Andy proudly joined the United States Marine Corps in 2003 and served his country with honor and dedication. He achieved the rank of Sergeant and served during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Andy was always proud of his time in the Marines and enjoyed sharing stories and memories from his years of service.
Following his military service, Andy built a career as a Traveling Certified Radiologic Technologist, a profession that allowed him to continue traveling and meeting people while making a difference through his work. Above all else, Andy loved his children, Alexander and Alivia McCauley, more than anything. His family was an important part of his life, and he treasured the time he spent with the people he loved. He enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends, traveling with his family, sharing stories, laughing, and creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Andy is survived by his children, Alexander and Alivia McCauley; his sisters, Samantha Hanson, Katherine Walker, and Morgan Davenport; his brother, Damien Walker; his nephews, TJ Hanson, Tate Hanson, and Tre Sherman; his nieces, Tanner Hanson and Elysia Sherman; along with many other beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Andy was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph McCauley and Michael Davenport.
Andy will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to his country, his adventurous spirit, and the stories he loved to share. His children, family, friends, and fellow Marines will carry his memory with them and cherish the moments they shared with him.
Semper Fi, Andy. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.
